Expeditors reported Q4 EPS of $1.49 on revenue of $2.855 billion, down 3% year-over-year, with ocean freight revenue plunging 33% to $611 million while airfreight revenue rose to $1.11 billion. Operating income fell to $251 million from $301 million, and a $3 billion share repurchase program was approved alongside $150 million in shareholder returns.

Expeditors delivered fourth-quarter EPS of $1.49 on sales of $2.855 billion, a 3% decline from the prior year. Airfreight services revenue increased to $1.11 billion from $1.06 billion as tonnage rose 6%, while ocean freight and services revenue tumbled to $611 million from $908 million amid a 6% drop in container volume.

2. Operating Income and Margin Trends

Operating income declined to $251 million from $301 million a year earlier, reflecting persistent margin pressure in the ocean segment. The CFO noted that airfreight margins have recovered much of a 2% decline through early 2026, offsetting some of the headwinds from ocean rate weakness.

3. Shareholder Returns and Buyback Program

During the quarter, the company returned $150 million to shareholders via dividends and repurchases. The board also approved a $3 billion share repurchase authorization to support capital allocation objectives and enhance shareholder value.
