FDA fast-track designation for PIKTOR
Shares of cancer-drug developer Faeth Therapeutics FTH.O rose 2% to $33 premarket after the company said the U.S. FDA has granted fast-track status to its experimental two-drug treatment PIKTOR, in combination with chemotherapy, for certain patients with advanced or recurring endometrial cancer, a type of cancer that starts in the inner lining of the uterus.
The FDA's fast-track tag is meant to speed up the development and review of treatments for serious diseases with unmet medical needs.
