Fortuna Boosts Reserves 15% to 3.0M GEOs, Séguéla’s Sunbird Adds 539K oz
Fortuna increased consolidated Proven and Probable Mineral Reserves by 15% to 3.0 million gold equivalent ounces after adding 819,000 GEOs from resource upgrades and accounting for 378,000 GEO depletion. Séguéla’s Sunbird deposit now hosts 539,000 oz at 3.80 g/t Au (+34%) and 417,000 oz inferred (+55%).
1. Consolidated Reserve Growth
Fortuna raised consolidated Proven and Probable Mineral Reserves to 3.0 million gold equivalent ounces, a 15% year-over-year increase after upgrading 819,000 GEOs from resources and offsetting 378,000 GEOs of production depletion.
2. Séguéla Sunbird Upgrade
Underground reserves at the Sunbird deposit now total 4.4 million tonnes averaging 3.80 g/t Au for 539,000 oz (up 34%), while inferred resources reached 2.9 million tonnes at 4.45 g/t Au for 417,000 oz (up 55%) following H2 2025 infill and exploration drilling.
3. Resource Category Advances
Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources grew 56% to 2.1 million GEOs, led by Diamba Sud’s 165% increase of 781,000 GEOs, and Inferred Mineral Resources rose 4% to 2.2 million GEOs after discovery drilling added 726,000 GEOs.
4. Diamba Sud Feasibility
The Diamba Sud Project’s feasibility study remains on track for first-time Mineral Reserve reporting by quarter end, supporting a construction decision and using a gold price assumption of $3,300/oz for resource estimation.
