Geron to present real-world claims study of imetelstat in lower-risk MDS at Japan hematology meeting
GERN•Geron flagged upcoming presentations in Japan and Europe on real-world and clinical analyses of imetelstat in lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes. The analyses are expected to cover treatment persistence, response durability, blood-count suppression and disease biology.
1. Upcoming presentations
Geron flagged new real-world and clinical analyses of imetelstat in lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes for upcoming presentations in Japan and Europe. US claims data are set to show most patients stayed on therapy through early treatment months despite heavy comorbidity, while separate analyses derived from IMerge are expected to indicate durable responses in some patients and early, generally manageable blood-count suppression. Another presentation will outline evidence that telomerase inhibition may affect disease biology.
