Gladiator Metals to Drill 35,000m Program at Cowley, Cub East and Great Southern
Gladiator Metals will launch a fully funded 35,000 metre drill campaign in mid-April 2026 under a Class 3 permit, targeting resource definition at the Cowley project and expansion of the high-grade Cub East copper-gold-magnetite skarn discovery. A third rig will mobilize to first-pass test a district-scale gravity and IP anomaly at the Great Southern target south of Cowley.
1. Drilling Program Launch
The fully funded programme begins mid-April with two rigs under the Class 3 permit, enabling increased drill density and flexibility. A third rig is scheduled to mobilize in late April, targeting simultaneous programs at Cowley, Cub East and Great Southern.
2. Cowley Resource Delineation
At Cowley, Gladiator has allocated a minimum 8,000 metres to resource delineation drilling, focusing on infill and sectional holes across the southern and northern mineralized limbs. The Class 3 permit allows direct shallow drilling above known ore zones to enhance resource models and target high-grade near-surface mineralization.
3. Cub East Expansion Drilling
At Cub East, follow-up drilling builds on the late-2025 skarn discovery intercepts of up to 44.2m grading 1.69% Cu and 0.93 g/t Au, including 27m at 2.56% Cu. Gladiator is conducting a 3D IP survey to refine intrusive architecture and extend the 300m strike of high-chargeability mineralization.
4. Great Southern First-Pass Target
The Great Southern target covers a 2km by 1.2km gravity and IP anomaly south of Cowley that exceeds the size and strength of known mineralization. Drilling will test this district-scale anomaly for a potential new mineralized system.
