- The Hanover posted Q2 2026 net income of $191.6 million, or $5.38 a share, up 21.95% from a year earlier.
- Combined ratio improved 1.3 percentage points to 91.2%, while catastrophe losses fell to $91.8 million from $112.4 million.
- Net premiums written rose 4.6% to $1.66 billion, led by 7.2% growth in Core Commercial to $574.8 million.
- Net investment income increased 13.4% to $119.6 million on higher earned yields and operating cash flows.
- CEO John C. Roche said he plans to retire at end-2026; Hanover repurchased $55 million of stock in the quarter.
