Hasbro today announced a multi-year licensing agreement with Amazon MGM Studios to develop action figures, roleplay accessories and collectible toys tied to the upcoming live-action Voltron feature film. Under the leadership of Tim Kilpin, President of Toy, Licensing and Entertainment, Hasbro will leverage its 164-year heritage and expertise in legacy franchises—such as TRANSFORMERS, NERF and MAGIC: THE GATHERING—to design and manufacture an initial wave of more than 25 distinct products. The Voltron line will debut in Q3 2025 to coincide with the film’s global theatrical release, featuring electronic Lion shields, pilot helmet roleplay sets and premium 12-inch figures of each Lion and the legendary Voltron robot. Hasbro projects that this franchise extension could generate incremental annual toy revenue of $50 million to $75 million over the first two years, based on comparable launches in its 80s-brand portfolio.
