HIIHII

HII unveiled a Defense Innovation Unit award to supply submarine torpedo tube launch and recovery systems for its REMUS UUVs and demonstrated REMUS 600 launches from USS Delaware. The company also highlighted scaled ROMULUS USV production and expansion of its Portchester, U.K., autonomous systems hub alongside its Odyssey ACS suite.

1. HII’s CNE 2026 Exhibit

At the Combined Naval Event 2026 in Farnborough, HII showcased its leadership in unmanned maritime systems, displaying the REMUS family of UUVs, ROMULUS USVs and the Odyssey Autonomous Control System. Executive presentations highlighted manned-unmanned teaming, scalable production of next-generation undersea and surface platforms, and integrated live, virtual, constructive training environments.

2. DIU Contract and REMUS 600 Demonstration

HII secured a U.S. Defense Innovation Unit contract to deliver a torpedo tube launch and recovery system for REMUS UUV deployments from Navy submarines. The company also completed forward-deployed REMUS 600 operations from USS Delaware, advancing autonomous undersea ISR and manned-unmanned teaming capabilities.

3. ROMULUS USV Production and Portchester Hub

HII is scaling production of its ROMULUS AI-enabled unmanned surface vessels, with construction underway on multiple ROMULUS 151 units. Concurrently, the newly enlarged Portchester, U.K., facility will serve as a regional hub for sustainment, training and deployment of autonomous maritime systems for allied navies.

4. Odyssey ACS Software Capabilities

The Odyssey Autonomous Control System software suite demonstrated enhanced mission planning, customizable swarm behaviors and intuitive interfaces across U.S. and allied naval programs. Odyssey ACS simplifies control of unmanned swarms in multi-domain operations, improving fleet lethality, survivability and interoperability.
