1. Hilton Launches Apartment Collection by Hilton

Hilton today unveiled Apartment Collection by Hilton, a new multi-suite lodging category set to debut in the first half of 2026 across key U.S. markets including New York City, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. The brand leverages Hilton’s existing global inventory of approximately 10,000 apartment-style units and will add up to 3,000 new furnished units through a strategic partnership with Placemakr, an operator specializing in flexible short-term and extended-stay accommodations. Each property will feature studio to four-bedroom apartments with chef-ready kitchens, separate living areas, on-site laundry and 24/7 on-site team members. Integrating into Hilton’s booking and Hilton Honors loyalty systems, the brand aims to capture rising demand for apartment-style hospitality and drive incremental revenue per available unit through enhanced length-of-stay and higher average daily rates driven by spacious layouts and local experiential design.

2. Board Approves $3.5 Billion Stock Repurchase Increase

Hilton’s Board of Directors has authorized an increase of $3.5 billion to its existing stock repurchase program, bringing total authorization to approximately $4.6 billion. The company may repurchase shares in the open market, through privately negotiated transactions or other methods compliant with SEC regulations, subject to available liquidity, cash flow and market conditions. This action underscores Hilton’s confidence in its long-term cash generation, with net operating cash flow exceeding $2.2 billion in the trailing twelve months and a commitment to return capital to shareholders without obligating future repurchases. The flexible program may be suspended or discontinued at any time, providing Hilton with the agility to allocate capital toward growth initiatives or balance sheet objectives as needed.
