1. Honeywell Launches AI-Enabled Smart Shopping Platform with Google Cloud
Honeywell International has unveiled its new Smart Shopping Platform, developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and 66degrees, leveraging Google’s Gemini models and Vertex AI. Built on Honeywell’s Mobility Edge hardware and software, the solution transforms in-store retail by providing real-time product location guidance, dynamic recommendations and personalized offers. Shoppers using devices such as the CS32 Personal Shopper can link loyalty accounts to unlock tailored suggestions based on purchase history, preferences and active promotions, while step-by-step navigation guides them through aisles. Retail associates equipped with Honeywell CT70 handhelds gain instant access to product insights, enabling rapid customer support and efficient shelf management. The platform is cloud-based, requiring no in-house AI team, and will be available to retailers beginning February 2026, marking Honeywell’s push to digitize brick-and-mortar experiences and drive basket size growth.
