Horizon Aircraft Taps BETA for Digital Flight Control System in 2026
BETA•BETA•BETA•BETA•Horizon Aircraft has chosen BETA Technologies to supply and integrate its digital flight control system for Horizon’s electric amphibious aircraft program, with delivery slated for late 2026. It marks BETA’s first external sale of its proprietary flight control technology, opening new revenue streams and validating its software for third-party platforms.
Horizon Aircraft will integrate BETA Technologies’ digital fly-by-wire flight control system into its upcoming electric amphibious aircraft, with system delivery scheduled for late 2026 and certification efforts targeted through 2028.
This agreement represents BETA’s first external sale of its in-house flight control software, validating the technology on a third-party platform and positioning BETA to expand its role as a supplier to other aerospace original equipment manufacturers.
