Houlihan Lokey appoints new chief legal officer

Houlihan Lokey named Prabha Sipi Bhandari chief legal officer, overseeing global legal and compliance, effective Tuesday.

Bhandari will also serve as corporate secretary, joining the firm’s executive officer ranks.

She previously served at Paychex as chief legal officer, chief ethics officer and secretary, advising management and the board.

Earlier roles included senior legal posts at AIG, Freddie Mac, Viacom and Deutsche Bank; she led M&A legal at Deutsche Bank Securities.

Outgoing general counsel Christopher Crain will shift to corporate senior advisor, supporting the transition and then advising senior management on non-legal matters.
