Huntington Ingalls Names Fatina Brave VP of Infrastructure, Driving Tech Efficiency

On January 29, 2026, Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced the promotion of Fatina Brave to vice president of infrastructure and sustainability at its Ingalls Shipbuilding division in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Brave, a U.S. Air Force veteran and holder of a B.S. in industrial psychology from William Carey University, will oversee all environmental, health, safety, security, facilities and maintenance operations across the shipyard’s 800-acre campus. With 15 years of leadership experience in human resources at Ingalls and roles of increasing responsibility since joining HII in 2011, she is charged with driving operational efficiency, enhancing shipbuilder well-being and leading the adoption of advanced technologies and equipment. Brave succeeds Eric Crooker, who transitions to vice president of program management to fill the vacancy left by George Nungesser’s retirement after 37 years with the company. Reporting to Ingalls Shipbuilding President Brian Blanchette, Brave’s appointment underscores HII’s strategic emphasis on sustainable operations within its 44,000-strong workforce and supports the company’s commitment to delivering next-generation defense capabilities.
