HyTerra Ltd has signed an exclusive 18-month MoU with ARA Natural Resources to jointly appraise geologic hydrogen prospects across Oman’s Semail Ophiolite province, leveraging local operating and subsurface expertise. The agreement establishes a framework to evaluate regulatory, commercial and permitting pathways and new exploration technologies.

1. MoU Details

HyTerra Ltd has entered an exclusive 18-month memorandum of understanding with ARA Natural Resources LLC to assess geologic hydrogen opportunities in Oman, combining HyTerra’s technical exploration expertise with ARA’s in-country operating and subsurface capabilities.

2. Collaboration Scope

The partners will review geological, geophysical and subsurface data across prospective Oman regions while evaluating regulatory, commercial and permitting pathways and engaging government and industry stakeholders on project advancement.

The agreement provides HyTerra early entry into a premier natural hydrogen jurisdiction, access to established upstream infrastructure and a structured framework to transition promising prospects into definitive agreements.

4. Oman’s Geological Potential

Oman’s Semail Ophiolite ultramafic rocks are naturally conducive to hydrogen generation through serpentinization, supported by extensive hydrocarbon datasets and local operating experience that can inform exploration and appraisal efforts.
