Infineon partners with Eaton to supply SiC power devices for 800 VDC data center solid-state transformers

1. Partnership targets data centers
Infineon entered a partnership with Eaton to supply silicon carbide power devices for Eaton’s MVSST 2.0 medium-voltage solid-state transformer platform. The collaboration targets 800 VDC AI data center power architectures, aiming to improve efficiency, power density, scalability and system reliability.
2. Deployment and designs
Eaton plans to deploy the platform across APAC and EMEA. The companies are evaluating next-generation solid-state transformer designs using 2.3 kV and 3.3 kV silicon carbide power modules for higher-voltage applications.
