Insmed Appoints Samuele Butera to Lead Respiratory, Drive BRINSUPRI Launch
INSM•Insmed has named Samuele Butera as Senior Vice President and General Manager of its Global Respiratory Therapeutic Area, reporting directly to CEO Will Lewis and joining the Executive Committee. Butera will lead the launch of BRINSUPRI, pursue ARIKAYCE label expansion and oversee the broad TPIP development program.

On June 23, Insmed appointed Samuele Butera as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Respiratory, effective immediately. He will report to CEO Will Lewis and join Insmed’s Executive Committee to steer the company’s respiratory division.
2. Responsibilities and Strategic Priorities
In his new role, Butera will oversee the Respiratory Therapeutic Area, focusing on executing the BRINSUPRI launch, advancing the potential expansion of ARIKAYCE’s label and managing the development of the TPIP pipeline program.
3. Extensive Commercial Leadership Background
Butera brings over 20 years of global commercial leadership, including roles at Johnson & Johnson where he led a multi-billion-dollar pulmonary unit and OPSYNVI launch, and at Novartis where he managed the worldwide launch of the first CAR-T therapy, KYMRIAH.
