JPMorgan appoints Mark O'Donovan as head of human resources, memo says
JPM•JPMorgan appointed Mark O'Donovan as head of human resources, effective January next year, succeeding Robin Leopold, CEO Jamie Dimon said in a memo.
1. Leadership changes
Leopold plans to retire in the first quarter of next year after leading human resources since 2018 and spending more than 16 years at JPMorgan. Dimon credited her with helping the bank navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, geopolitical changes and the rapid adoption of AI.
2. O'Donovan's new role
O'Donovan, currently CEO of international consumer banking, will join JPMorgan's operating committee and relocate from London to New York. He has spent 30 years at the bank and previously served as chief financial officer of the Commercial & Investment Bank, CEO of Chase Home Lending and Chase Auto. Daniel Llano Manibardo, currently head of international consumer banking for Germany, will succeed him and report to Troy Rohrbaugh.
