JPMorgan dealmaker Hernan Cristerna to retire at end of 2026
JPM•JPMorgan dealmaker Hernan Cristerna will retire at the end of 2026 after 30 years at the firm, a spokesperson said.

Cristerna, JPMorgan’s executive chairman of global investment banking and M&A, will step down at the end of 2026, co-heads of global banking Filippo Gori and John Simmons told employees in a memo.
2. Career and deals
Cristerna took on the global chair role in 2020 and previously co-led JPMorgan’s global M&A business from 2013. His advised deals included InBev’s 2008 acquisition of Anheuser-Busch, Saudi Aramco’s 2019 acquisition of SABIC, and Bunge’s 2023 merger with Viterra.
