Kadant names new CEO succession timeline

Kadant named Michael C. Colwell president and COO effective Oct. 1, 2026; he becomes CEO and a director on Jan. 2, 2027.
Colwell has been a senior vice president since Dec. 2024, leading the Industrial Processing segment; previously ran Kadant Carmanah Design.
Jeffrey L. Powell will become executive chairman on Jan. 2, 2027, shifting from the CEO role.
Chairman Jonathan W. Painter will step down as a director and board chairman on Jan. 2, 2027.
