Kroger has launched nearly 2,700 of its grocery stores on Uber Eats, Uber and Postmates apps to offer on-demand and same-day delivery nationwide. Uber is providing up to 50% off first Kroger orders and $0 delivery fees for Uber One members to boost e-commerce volumes.

1. Kroger Health Reaches New Milestone in Prescription Drug Safety Program

Kroger Health has announced that more than 250,000 high school and middle school students have completed its Prescription Drug Safety: Know the truth curriculum, delivered at no cost through a partnership with education provider Everfi. Since launching the program in the 2017–18 academic year—when just 700 students participated—Kroger Health has scaled outreach to nearly 65,000 students in 2024–25. Pre- and post-assessment results show participants significantly improve their ability to identify warning signs of prescription drug misuse and report feeling prepared to support peers. Executives say this effort strengthens Kroger’s reputation for community engagement and could drive long-term customer loyalty by positioning the retail pharmacy network as a leader in public health education.

2. Kroger Expands On-Demand Delivery Through Uber Partnership

Kroger has made almost 2,700 of its grocery store locations available for same-day and on-demand delivery via Uber Eats, Uber and Postmates apps, covering banners such as Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers and Harris Teeter. The rollout extends Kroger’s omnichannel strategy by tapping Uber’s delivery network and promotional engine, including up to 50% off first orders and waived delivery fees for Uber One members. Company leaders project that integrating with ride-hailing platforms will boost digital sales penetration beyond the current mid-teens percentage of total revenue, while enhancing convenience for the 11 million customers served daily and supporting long-term e-commerce growth.
