KWHP and Ascendant JV has completed the acquisition of Sotherly Hotels, taking over the company’s entire outstanding share capital. The closing transfers ownership of all Sotherly’s hospitality assets into the JV, integrating its regional hotel portfolio under the new partnership structure.

On February 13, 2026, the joint venture formed by KWHP and Ascendant finalized its takeover of Sotherly Hotels, acquiring all outstanding shares. Under the terms of the agreement, the JV assumes control of Sotherly’s hotel assets, consolidating the operator’s regional portfolio under its management and governance structure.
