Labcorp to buy select assets from Opko Health unit for up to $872 million
LH•Labcorp will buy BioReference Health laboratory testing operations from Opko Health for $722 million in cash, with up to $150 million more tied to revenue from its 4Kscore prostate cancer test. The acquired businesses are expected to generate about $250 million in revenue in their first year after closing.
1. Deal details
Labcorp will acquire BioReference Health’s clinical diagnostics, women’s health, urology and corrections testing businesses, along with more than 80 patient service centers and certain operating assets. The deal includes ownership of the 4Kscore test, which generated $27.1 million in revenue in 2025.
2. Closing conditions
The transaction requires regulatory clearance and other closing conditions, and the companies did not provide an expected closing date. Opko said the sale will streamline its operations and sharpen its focus on its biopharmaceutical business, which includes its FDA-approved kidney disease therapy Rayaldee.
