LKQ Corporation Achieves 19% Emissions Drop, Reuses 4.9M Parts in 2025
LKQ•LKQ’s 2025 sustainability report reports processing of 284,000 vehicles and reuse, refurbishment or remanufacture of over 4.9 million parts. The company also cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 19% versus a 2022 baseline and donated $4 million through its community foundation.
1. Sustainability Report Highlights
LKQ Corporation released its 2025 sustainability report detailing a three-pillar strategy focused on delivering sustainable solutions profitably, people-led performance and strong governance with ethical practices embedded in operating discipline.
2. Emissions Reduction and Parts Recycling
In 2025, LKQ processed approximately 284,000 vehicles and reused, refurbished or remanufactured more than 4.9 million parts while reducing Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 19% against a 2022 baseline through increased renewable energy use, fleet fuel initiatives, energy efficiency upgrades and network optimization.
3. Community Investments
The LKQ Community Foundation donated $4 million to support health and wellness, education, veterans, global first responders and environmental stewardship initiatives across North America, Europe and Taiwan.
4. Talent and Governance Initiatives
LKQ launched a Global Talent function, introduced six global core competencies and expanded mentoring and coaching programs to better connect employees across regions and functions, strengthening long-term value creation.
