Manulife Canada partners with Sword to launch AI-enabled physiotherapy service
MFC•Manulife Canada partnered with Sword to offer an AI-enabled physiotherapy service to eligible group benefits members on disability leave. The service is set to expand in 2027 to all group plan members with extended health coverage.
1. At-home physiotherapy
The program targets acute or chronic musculoskeletal conditions and aims to speed recovery, improve outcomes and support a faster return to work. The initial rollout offers at-home access to Canadian-licensed physiotherapists, supported by a Health Canada-approved motion-tracking device.
