Manulife reports higher second-quarter earnings and sales
Manulife posted net income attributable to shareholders of C$ 2.1 billion in 2Q26, up 17% from 2Q25; EPS rose 22% to C$ 1.2.
Core earnings (non-GAAP) climbed 12% to C$ 1.92 billion; core EPS rose 16% to C$ 1.09.
ROE rose 2.4 percentage points to 18%; LICAT ratio stood at 136%.
APE sales increased 21% to C$ 2.7 billion; new business CSM rose 16% to C$ 1.02 billion.
Global WAM net inflows were C$ 0.4 billion, down 57%; management highlighted AI rollout, new HNW products, and a long-term care reinsurance deal expected to close in Q4 2026.
