1. Presentation Details
MetaVia management, including CEO Hyung Heon Kim and CFO Marshall Woodworth, will deliver a pipeline update at the Emerging Growth Conference on June 11 at 3:25 pm ET. The live virtual session will feature a Q&A segment, with advance questions accepted by email and an archived webcast available on MetaVia’s website.
2. DA-1726 Phase 1 Results
DA-1726, a novel oxyntomodulin analogue acting as a dual GLP-1 and glucagon receptor agonist, demonstrated best-in-class potential in a Phase 1 multiple ascending dose trial. Key findings included significant reductions in body weight, improved glucose control, and waist circumference reduction, positioning DA-1726 as a competitive obesity therapy.
3. Vanoglipel Development Status
Vanoglipel (DA-1241), a GPR119 agonist designed to promote release of GLP-1, GIP and PYY, showed notable preclinical benefits including reduced hepatic steatosis, inflammation and fibrosis alongside improved glucose metabolism. In a Phase 2a study, vanoglipel exhibited direct liver activity and further confirmed its glucose-lowering effects.
