Micron Secures HBM4 Approval, SK Hynix Grabs 60–70% Supply Share
MU•Nvidia confirmed June 5 that Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron passed HBM4 certification for its Vera Rubin AI accelerator, which entered full production with tenfold agent throughput versus Grace Blackwell. Supply-chain analysts estimate SK Hynix will secure 60–70% of HBM4 volume, Samsung 25–30% and Micron the remainder.
1. Nvidia Confirms HBM4 Supplier Certifications
On June 5 Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed that Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix and Micron passed certification to supply HBM4 high-bandwidth memory for the next-generation Vera Rubin AI accelerator platform.
2. Estimated Supply Allocations
Supply-chain analysts estimate SK Hynix will receive 60–70% of Vera Rubin’s HBM4 volume, Samsung about 25–30% and Micron the remaining share.
3. Vera Rubin Performance and Production
Vera Rubin entered full production after its June 1 announcement, delivering tenfold agent throughput compared with the Grace Blackwell architecture and targeting Q3 deliveries.

Despite certification, Micron shares fell 4.4% pre-market on June 5 as tech stocks pulled back following strong jobs data and an AI-stock correction.
