Morgan Stanley invested $997 million as a cornerstone investor in Victory Giant Technology’s $2.6 billion Hong Kong IPO.

1. Executive Departure

Melissa Nims, who served as managing director and chief operating officer of investment solutions at Morgan Stanley for nearly 20 years, has departed to become chief solutions officer at Mercer Global Advisors, where she will oversee a team of more than 250 professionals and aim to expand it to 300 by year-end.

2. Cornerstone IPO Investment

Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc committed $997 million as a cornerstone investor in Victory Giant Technology's $2.6 billion Hong Kong IPO, securing guaranteed allocations and positioning itself for fee income as the city’s largest listing in seven months.

3. Quant Trading Platform Launch

Morgan Stanley is extending its algorithmic and quantitative trading models to a broader client base, introducing a platform designed to give retail investors access to sophisticated strategies previously reserved for institutional clients.
