Nexa has fully brought electrolysis lines online at Cajamarquilla, with one casting line producing zinc bars since the weekend. The second casting line is scheduled to restart within days, followed by the final line by mid-June.
2. Production Impact and Recovery
The May 13 incident is estimated to reduce 2Q26 zinc output by roughly 7,000 tonnes, representing about 2% of annual production. The company expects to recover these volumes during the second half of 2026.
