NextEra, Dominion Energy unveil enhanced Virginia customer benefits package tied to proposed merger

NextEra Energy proposed a combination with Dominion Energy, adding an expanded Virginia customer and jobs package tied to the deal.
The plan includes $10 monthly residential bill credits for four years, funded by shareholders, with customers shielded from merger costs.
Low-income assistance and employment commitments
Low-income assistance would rise by USD 100 million through 2038 via Dominion’s EnergyShare program.
The proposal also calls for maintaining Virginia headcount for five years, adding 1,000 jobs, and building a shareholder-funded co-headquarters tower in Richmond.
