Nextpower Secures 1GW to 3GW Steel Frame Supply Deal with Jinko Solar
Nextpower announced a multi-year agreement to supply Jinko Solar US Industries with at least 1GW of steel solar module frames, scalable up to 3GW over three years, with production starting mid-2026 in Jacksonville, Florida. The company plans to expand its Southeastern US manufacturing capacity to serve Jinko’s facility directly.
1. Multi-Year Supply Agreement
On February 17, Nextpower agreed to deliver at least 1GW of steel solar module frames to Jinko Solar US Industries, with an option to scale deliveries to 3GW over the next three years, supporting Jinko’s Jacksonville, Florida manufacturing line set to commence mid-2026.
2. Southeastern Manufacturing Expansion
To streamline logistics and meet contract demands, Nextpower will expand its production capacity in the Southeastern United States, adding to its network of over 25 factories established or enlarged since 2021 and enabling direct supply to Jinko’s Florida facility.
3. Industry Impact and Domestic Content Incentives
Steel frames offer greater durability and stiffness in extreme weather and boost tracker projects’ domestic content by 6%, aligning with US Treasury guidance and enhancing Nextpower’s competitive positioning in the onshoring-driven solar components market.
