Novo Nordisk says analysis links Ozempic 2 mg to 6% lower MACE risk than switching to Mounjaro
NVO•Novo Nordisk said a real-world analysis found a 6% lower MACE risk among patients who increased Ozempic to 2 mg rather than switching to Mounjaro. The results were presented at the EASD Annual Meeting 2026.
1. Analysis findings
The analysis tracked adults with type 2 diabetes who were already using semaglutide 1 mg and compared increasing Ozempic to 2 mg with switching to Mounjaro. Novo Nordisk reported a 6% lower MACE risk with dose escalation. Safety outcomes were not evaluated.
