NRx Defense Systems wins initial $11.18 million DARPA prime contract for SPARC-TMS depression trial
NRXP•NRx Defense Systems, a unit of NRX Pharmaceuticals, won an initial $11.18 million DARPA prime contract to fund the SPARC-TMS study of treatment-resistant depression.
1. Trial funding
The funding supports a study testing single-day robotic neuronavigated TMS combined with investigational drug NRX-101. The trial is slated to enroll participants at McLean Hospital, Arizona State University and HOPE Therapeutics, with planned expansion to military hospitals. The program could support an FDA registration package for NRX-101 with TMS in treatment-resistant depression if results replicate.
