Nvidia leverages HBM4E memory boost and $2.1B Ethernet switch surge

1. Supplier Ships HBM4E Samples
SK Hynix has shipped samples of its next-generation 12-stack HBM4E high-bandwidth memory to major AI customers, leveraging its development and production expertise. The new chips deliver up to 16 Gbps per pin, more than 20% boost in power efficiency and 17% better heat resistance versus previous models, targeting heavy AI training and inference workloads.
2. Nvidia Tops Data Center Ethernet Switching
In the first quarter, Nvidia’s data center Ethernet switch revenue hit $2.1 billion, a 192.7% year-over-year increase that secured a 21.5% share in the $15.4 billion segment. The company’s Spectrum-X platform is gaining traction with hyperscalers and enterprise customers building AI networks, as demand for high-speed switching remains robust.
