Nvidia Taps SK Hynix Memory for Vera CPU, Plans Expansion into 2027
NVDA•Nvidia is expanding its AI supply-chain partnership with SK Hynix by integrating its new Vera data-center CPU with SK Hynix memory modules. Nvidia expects the collaboration to deepen in H2 2026 and extend into 2027 as it challenges Intel Xeon, AMD Epyc and explores telecom network integration for AI infrastructure.
1. Partnership Expansion
In Seoul, Jensen Huang met SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-Jung to announce Nvidia will integrate SK Hynix memory into its new Vera data-center CPU. The companies plan to deepen this collaboration in the second half of 2026 and extend it into 2027.
2. Vera CPU Deployment
Vera represents Nvidia’s first standalone data-center processor, positioned to challenge Intel’s Xeon and AMD’s Epyc lines by delivering optimized performance for large-scale AI workloads.
3. Telecom and Ecosystem Development
Nvidia is holding discussions with telecom operators on integrating network infrastructure into future AI systems, underscoring its strategy to build a comprehensive AI compute ecosystem around its hardware offerings.
