One and One Green Technologies will use its 1,000,000-ton-per-year hazardous waste permit to process electronic sludge, copper and nickel mud from Metro Manila manufacturers. The move secures a domestic feedstock and taps into the Philippines’ e-waste market, forecast to expand from $9.7 billion in 2025 to $22.4 billion by 2031.

1. Strategic Entry into Metro Manila E-Waste

One and One Green Technologies has activated its government-issued 1,000,000-ton-per-year hazardous waste permit to collect electronic sludge, copper mud and nickel mud from electronics and plating manufacturers in Metro Manila, marking its formal entry into the Philippines' largest industrial center.

2. Market Opportunity and Growth Projections

The domestic e-waste market is projected to expand from $9.7 billion in 2025 to $22.4 billion by 2031, with the Philippines generating approximately 537,000 metric tons of e-waste in 2022, of which an estimated 80% is currently processed by informal channels.

3. Advanced Processing Technology and Capacity

Leveraging newly updated processing technology, the company can efficiently extract copper, nickel and other high-value metals from recovered materials, complementing its existing import-based feedstock operations with a secure, local supply.

4. Vertical Integration and Supply Chain Benefits

This initiative advances the company’s vertical integration strategy by establishing a reliable domestic feedstock pipeline, reducing exposure to global scrap market fluctuations and positioning the company as a leader in formal, environmentally responsible e-waste recycling.
