Pearson agrees to buy AI skills assessment platform Workera
PSO•Pearson agreed to acquire Workera, an AI-native platform that assesses and verifies workforce skills. The deal is targeted to close in the second half of 2026, and Workera CEO Kian Katanforoosh will join Pearson’s leadership team.
1. Deal targets enterprise learning
Workera will join Pearson’s Enterprise Learning & Skills unit. Founded in 2019 and based in Palo Alto, the company has about 60 employees and uses AI, psychometrics, adaptive assessments and simulations to measure workforce proficiency, including AI fluency.
