Philips and its consortium partners secured an eight-year tender to support Region Stockholm’s hospital-at-home initiative, extending hospital-level care into patient homes. The program is designed to monitor up to 15,000 complex and chronic patients each year across a population exceeding two million residents.

Philips contributes its global expertise in patient monitoring, interoperability and data integration. Cuviva provides the secure, scalable IT platform for digital care pathways and communications, while Vingmed supplies and manages clinical measurement devices such as ECG, blood pressure monitors and pulse oximeters.

The solution enables continuous monitoring of vital signs including waveform data like ECG and oxygen saturation, with near real-time data access for clinicians across hospital and primary care settings. It also supports video consultations, secure chat and structured care pathways to detect clinical deterioration early and facilitate direct patient-clinician interaction.

This region-wide deployment positions Philips at the forefront of connected care solutions in Europe, addressing rising demand from aging populations and workforce shortages. The initiative is expected to strengthen Philips’ connected care segment, generate recurring revenue streams and reduce pressure on hospital infrastructure.
