Pinnacle Food AgTech HK Limited entered a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Open Yeast Collection and Bioboost Synbio Consulting to establish an Open Yeast Platform hub. The agreement outlines collaborative exploration and does not obligate definitive commitments until formal contracts are negotiated.

The Open Yeast Platform comprises an open-source DNA parts library with hundreds of genetic constructs for yeast and an open-access strain bank distributed under an Open Material Transfer Agreement framework. Bioboost will provide strategic consulting and technical integration support for regional deployment.

By localizing and distributing synthetic biology tools in the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, Pinnacle Food aims to strengthen its position in Asia’s bio-engineering ecosystem. The initiative is designed to lower research barriers, attract synergistic partnerships and advance the company’s B2B commercialization of precision fermentation products.

The hub’s establishment remains subject to definitive agreements and regulatory approvals in both Hong Kong and Mainland China. Key risks include the non-binding nature of the MOU, potential delays in contract finalization and operational challenges at the innovation park.
