Provident Bank Names Adriano Duarte EVP and CFO to Oversee $25.2 B Finance
PFS•Provident Bank will appoint Adriano Duarte as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2026, overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury and investor relations. Duarte, who joined via the SB One Bank acquisition in 2020, will steer financial strategy for the New Jersey lender with $25.2 billion in assets to support growth.
1. Executive Leadership Appointment
Provident Bank will install Adriano Duarte as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer beginning July 1, 2026. He will lead all finance functions—including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investor relations, corporate strategy, reporting, tax, facilities and risk management—and report directly to CEO Anthony Labozzetta as part of the executive leadership team.
2. Background and Strategic Role
Duarte joined Provident in 2020 through the SB One Bank acquisition and most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, overseeing financial reporting and strategic initiatives. With over 30 years of banking experience and an MBA from Rutgers University, he will drive capital management, long-term value creation and support growth initiatives for the $25.2 billion institution.
