Drive Group Orders InnovizSMART LiDAR for Barak LightGuard, Eyes $20M Sales
INVZ•Drive Group has placed an upfront order for Innoviz’s InnovizSMART LiDAR sensors to integrate into its Barak LightGuard security and transport system, targeting $20 million sales by end of 2027. The AI-driven 3D LiDAR system offers object detection and classification up to 1,000 meters for defense, border security and intelligent transport markets.
1. Strategic Collaboration Agreement
Drive Group and Innoviz signed a strategic collaboration to integrate InnovizSMART LiDAR sensors into Drive’s Barak LightGuard perimeter security and intelligent transportation systems. Drive Group issued an upfront purchase order for immediate deployment, leveraging its six subsidiaries’ expertise in infrastructure, transport and security operations.
2. Technical Integration and Capabilities
The Barak LightGuard system combines Innoviz’s high-resolution 3D LiDAR sensor with AI-based analytics and video imaging from Cogniteam, enabling detection and classification of humans, vehicles and animals at distances up to 1,000 meters. Applications include precise drone localization, critical infrastructure protection, border surveillance and intelligent traffic management.
3. Financial Outlook and Sales Target
The collaboration targets $20 million in cumulative sales by end-2027, establishing a new revenue stream for Innoviz through Drive Group’s global channels. Both companies aim to accelerate market adoption across defense, homeland security and intelligent transport sectors, with initial orders serving as a foundation for long-term growth.
