Shares fall after Neutron timeline shift
Shares of space company Rocket Lab RKLB.O fell nearly 9% to $72.96 premarket after the company appeared to push back the timeline for the first flight of its Neutron rocket on Monday. It now aims to get the vehicle to the launch pad in the fourth quarter rather than launching it then.
TD Cowen says first launch could slip into 2027
TD Cowen said Neutron, Rocket Lab's medium-lift reusable rocket, remains on track to reach the launchpad in Q4 2026, although its first launch could be delayed by 4-8 weeks after arrival, potentially pushing it into early 2027.
"Nonetheless, demand for Neutron remains strong with a dedicated booking from Kepler & a planned Flatellite launch for the Space Force," TD Cowen said.
