Royal Caribbean Group Debuts Points Choice Cross-Brand Loyalty Program Starting January 30, 2026
Royal Caribbean Group will launch Points Choice on sailings from January 30, 2026, allowing Crown & Anchor, Captain’s Club and Venetian Society members to earn points on any of its three brands and apply them to a chosen program. Earned points can be transferred within 14 days post-sailing.
1. Celebrity Xcel’s Mediterranean Festivals Drive Guest Engagement
Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand is set to enhance revenue per guest and onboard spending with the launch of four Mediterranean-inspired festivals on Celebrity Xcel beginning Summer 2026. This first-of-its-kind ‘Bazaar’ destination immersion concept, live since November on Xcel, will now offer Opa (Greece), La Dolce Vita (Italy), Salud (Spain) and Silk & Spice (Morocco/Turkey) festivals across three‐story LED stages, local artisan markets and hands-on culinary and craft workshops. Celebrity projects a 15% uplift in F&B spend on Mediterranean sailings, based on pilot data showing guests engaging an average of three festival activities per sea day and spending $75 extra per person on region-inspired menu items and retail purchases.
2. Points Choice Loyalty Program Bolsters Cross-Brand Retention
Royal Caribbean Group’s January 30, 2026 rollout of Points Choice deepens customer loyalty by allowing Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea members to allocate earned points to any of the three loyalty programs within 14 days of sailing. Building on the May 2024 Status Match launch, Points Choice is expected to increase repeat bookings by 8%, according to internal forecasts, by reducing friction for guests who sail across the Group’s nearly 70 ships and 1,000 destinations. Investors should note that higher loyalty engagement historically drives onboard revenue gains of 10-12% and incremental bookings of 5% year-over-year.
