RTXRTX

RTX will invest $139 million in Singapore to expand Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney operations, adding GTF engine maintenance at Seletar and boosting Tuas coating capacity by 25%. Deal adds a five-year pact for 27 Singapore Airlines jets (including five 777Fs) and a three-year renewal with All Nippon Airways on Trent 1000 accessories.

1. RTX Commits $139 Million to Singapore Aviation Hub

At the Singapore Air Show, RTX Corporation announced a commitment of over $139 million to expand its Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney operations in Singapore. The investment will fund new GTF engine maintenance capabilities at the Seletar facility, including an automated Fan Drive Gear System (FDGS) line leveraging AI to reduce turnaround times. Pratt & Whitney will also increase its Tuas coating operations footprint by 25%, enhancing durability of hot-section components to meet rising global production demand. These projects build on agreements with the Singapore Economic Development Board and reinforce the city-state’s strategic role in advanced aerospace manufacturing, MRO and high-value engineering.

2. Collins Aerospace Renews FlightSense™ Contracts with All Nippon Airways

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, signed two FlightSense™ renewal agreements with All Nippon Airways at the Air Show. The first is a five-year, cost-per-flight-hour extension for on-site support of ANA’s Boeing 737NG/MAX, 767, 777, 787 and Dash 8-400 fleets, maintaining component availability and predictable maintenance costs through a fixed-rate model. The second is a three-year extension of an existing MRO repair contract for accessories on Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered Boeing 787 aircraft. Combined, these deals strengthen predictive health monitoring, logistics support and certified repairs at ANA’s Component Technics facility in Nagasaki.

3. FlightSense™ Extension with Singapore Airlines Boeing 777F Fleet

RTX’s Collins Aerospace signed a five-year FlightSense™ extension with Singapore Airlines to support 27 Boeing 777 aircraft, including five newly added 777F freighters. The program, in place since 2008, integrates Collins’ Ascentia® prognostics and health-management software to provide tailored maintenance solutions that optimize operational efficiency. The expanded agreement underscores Collins Aerospace’s ability to deliver reliable, cost-effective lifecycle support for long-range wide-body operations and highlights Singapore Airlines’ confidence in the program’s performance benefits.

4. Raytheon Completes Ballistic Test for Next Generation Short Range Interceptor

Raytheon, an RTX business, successfully conducted a company-funded ballistic test of the U.S. Army’s Next Generation Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) in Tucson, Arizona. The test demonstrated the interceptor’s capability to track drone targets and fire from a man-portable launcher, collecting critical data ahead of the program’s flight test demonstration. In 2025, Raytheon also partnered with Northrop Grumman to validate Highly Loaded Grain solid rocket motors, which extend NGSRI’s range and burn time. The milestone affirms RTX’s commitment to delivering mature, cost-effective air-defense solutions to the U.S. Army and Marine Corps.
