Sagimet advanced its AURORA U.S. Phase 3 trial of oral acne drug denifanstat toward first patient enrollment in Q4 2026.
No new trial results were presented; patient screening is expected to start in October 2026, with enrollment shortly thereafter.
The study is designed to test whether denifanstat can improve moderate to severe acne versus placebo, with a long-term safety follow-up.
Sagimet expects to submit an NDA once the initial 12-week blinded portion is completed.
