1. Metering demonstrations
Semtech showcased smart-metering connectivity at Electronica India 2026, held Sept. 16-18 in Bengaluru. A water meter based on the LR2021 demonstrated fixed-network connectivity with fallback to walk-by or drive-by collection, while other demonstrations supported LoRaWAN, wireless M-Bus and Wi-SUN networks using existing hardware. Cellular IoT modules offered backhaul options for utility gateways alongside low-power LoRa connectivity.
