Slovakia considering options for supplies after ban on Russian gas takes effect, minister says
UNG•Slovakia is looking to Algeria, Azerbaijan and the United States for a potential long-term contract to supply about 1 billion cubic metres of gas per year after an EU ban on Russian gas takes effect late next year. Its main supplier has 17.5 TWh in storage, about 35% of the country's consumption.

Slovakia is looking to Algeria, Azerbaijan and the United States for a potential long-term contract for about 1 billion cubic metres of gas per year after an EU ban on Russian gas takes effect late next year, Economy Minister Denisa Sakova said.
2. Storage for winter
State-owned supplier SPP had 17.5 TWh of gas in storage, about 35% of the country's consumption. Sakova said the reserve, together with ongoing supplies, was sufficient to cover the upcoming heating season.
