TAE Power Solutions shipped its first hybrid energy storage prototype to MARA for field validation under their strategic collaboration. The system combines battery storage, ultracapacitors and intelligent controls to manage load volatility and support demanding digital infrastructure power profiles.
TAE Power Solutions has delivered its inaugural hybrid energy storage prototype to a MARA site, representing the first field deployment under their collaboration to develop grid-responsive load management and storage solutions for power-intensive operations.
The prototype integrates battery modules with ultracapacitors, advanced power electronics and intelligent controls to absorb high-stress power events, reduce battery cycling impact and sustain energy delivery during transient and sustained load conditions.
MARA will use the system for on-site performance validation, tuning and operational testing, gathering field data to refine controls and energy management before scaling up to production deployments later this year.
Following successful testing, MARA anticipates rolling out additional hybrid storage units across its infrastructure to manage load variability, enhance grid efficiency and support high-performance computing workloads.
