Texas Instruments set to report; EPS, rev seen rising y/y

** Shares in chipmaker Texas Instruments TXN.O were up 1.6% on Wednesday, with the Q2 earnings report due out after the market close.
** Wall Street analysts see Q2 adjusted EPS of $1.93 vs $1.41 in the year-ago quarter and revenue of $5.248 billion vs $4.448 billion a year ago, according to LSEG.
** In the last eight quarters, TXN's revenue beat Street expectations while EPS beat expectations six times.
** In April, TXN forecast second-quarter revenue and profit above Wall Street expectations at the time as the company expected a boost in demand for its analog chips amid the data center boom, sending its shares up more than 19% in the next session.
** Year to date, TXN shares are up 70% vs an 18% gain in the S&P 500 technology index .SPLRCT and a 76% gain in the Philadelphia semiconductor index .SOX.
** TXN last traded near $296 vs a median price target of $300, as per LSEG, which shows 39 analyst ratings: 6 'strong buy,' 10 'buy,' 20 'hold,' 2 'sell' and 1 'strong sell'.
