The new facility adds 25,000 barrels per day capacity to the field, where TotalEnergies holds a 37.5% interest within concession C17, following a construction phase from May 2024 to early 2026.

This restart advances TotalEnergies’ strategy of 3% annual production growth through 2030 by boosting low-cost, low-emission output and reinforcing the company’s focus on high-margin assets.

4. Broader Libyan Operations

The Mabruk field complements TotalEnergies’ Libyan portfolio, which yielded an average of 113,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day last year from assets including Al Jurf, El Sharara and Waha concessions.
